Amy just received a second award for her work in The Master! She will be awarded the Santa Barbara International Film Festival’s Cinema Vanguard Award on January 31. Amy, who also recently won Best Supporting Actress from the LA Film Critics Association, is being recognized for her performance in Paul Thomas Anderson’s drama, which also stars Joaquin Phoenix and Philip Seymour Hoffman. Says exec director Roger Durling:

“Amy Adams is one of the gutsiest and most gifted actors working today. She embodies what the Cinema Vanguard Award is all about, and after her performance in ‘The Master’ – the time has come to recognize her talent and versatility.”

Again, a huge congratulations is in order to Amy for another well-deserved award! Hopefully this also increases her chances for a fourth Academy Award-nomination this year! [credit]
