‘An Object of Beauty’ Adaptation Finds New Writer

Amy Adams’ upcoming movie “An Object of Beauty” is back on track with Mike Goldbach on board to rewrite the script for the adaptation of Steve Martin’s novel, Variety is reporting.

Adams and Maven Pictures’ Trudie Styler and Celine Rattray launched the project in 2012 with Adams producing and starring. The book, published in 2010, follows the adventures of an ambitious entrepreneur who climbs from gallery assistant to gallery owner in New York City over a decade and a half. The story is narrated by her journalist friend.

Ned Benson had originally come on to write “Object of Beauty.” Goldbach wrote and directed “Daydream Nation,” starring Kat Dennings.
