Greenburg Julie & Julia Leap Year Night at the Museum 2 Sunshine Cleaning

It looks like 2009 will truly be the year of Amy Adams. Three of her films will be released in a row – Sunshine Cleaning in March, Julie & Julia in April August and Night at the Museum 2 in May 2009. On top of this, if Amy accepts Leap Year, she will be filming it from mid-February onwards. Also, Adams was previously reported to have joined the cast of Greenburg, to be filmed late this year. Unfortunately, the status of that project is unknown at the moment. We will keep you posted!

Update: Thanks to MP for the heads up: Julie & Julia has been pushed back to August 7, 2009.

Leap Year Movies News & Gossip

Amy is in negotiations to star in a new romantic comedy, titled Leap Year. What about Greenburg, I ask! From The Hollywood Reporter:

Amy Adams is in negotiations to topline Leap Year, a romantic comedy from Spyglass.

Spyglass’ Roger Birnbaum, Gary Barber and Jonathan Glickman are producing with Benderspink.

Adams will play an uptight woman who travels to Dublin to propose to her boyfriend on leap day, Feb. 29, following an Irish tradition in which women propose to men on that day and the man has to say yes. When weather derails her trip, she enlists the help of a surly Irish innkeeper to make an unexpected cross-country trek to pull off the perfect proposal in time.

Harry Elfont and Deb Kaplan, the duo behind Columbia’s Made of Honor, wrote the screenplay, which is in the tone of It Happened One Night.

Although no director is on board, Spyglass is eyeing a mid-February start. Cassidy Lange is the overseeing exec.
