Last night was the 2009 People’s Choice Awards. Amy didn’t attend, as expected.
The Secret Life of Bees won over Miss Pettigrew for Favorite Independent Movie and Carrie Underwood won Favorite Female Star 35 & Under. View the entire list of winners here.

Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day will finally open in UK cinemas tomorrow, August 15, 2008. As we’ve previously reported, it will also be available on R1 DVD in North America on August 19, 2008. Screencaptures will be up on the site in the near future.
I recently had the pleasure of seeing the film – it has been playing in Finland for several weeks now – and I really adored it. I would warmly recommend for all of Amy’s fans to check out this fun little film.

Universal will release Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day on DVD this August 19th. The film stars Frances McDormand, Amy Adams, Lee Pace, and Ciaran Hinds.
Extras will include:
- Deleted Scenes
- 2 featurettes (Making an Unforgettable Day, Miss Pettigrew’s Long Trip to Hollywood)
- Feature Commentary with Director Bharat Nalluri
