A new – very beautiful – picture from behind the scenes of Amy Adams’ first campaign for Eau de Lacoste’s women’s fragrance have surfaced! She looks gorgeous and natural in the photo, which we’ve added to the gallery. A video from the set was added yesterday, if you haven’t yet, be sure to watch it here. The brand created a scent that is like “the feeling on skin of pure white cotton fabric.”

The plan is to start the promotions online, with a ton of advertising coming later. We can’t wait to see the print ads everywhere in a couple of weeks! So exciting for our Amy!

It’s being reported that Amy will be the face of a new Lacoste feminine fragrance.

Amy will reportedly be part of a large scale promotional drive online to promote the scent prior to a global in-store launch. The star joins actor Adrien Brody in being targeted by the French brand for their new campaigns.

According to WWD, the brand — known for its ties with some of the best legends in tennis, and of course, their colorful collection of polo shirts — plans to create a scent that is like “the feeling on skin of pure white cotton fabric.”

Could it be that Amy Adams has been rapping her foot impatiently all this time, wrapping film after film and winning Oscar nominations (three, to date) — just waiting to be promptly challenged by theatre? Making your stage debut and doing it with Sondheim is what’s known as Going In the Deep End. “That’s what I figured,” she chirped back, “but who wants to dive in the shallow end? You hit your head, right?”

The Baker’s Wife does give her a character with the kind of backbone she has been known to flash on screen. “I like that she’s a take-charge person. She’s someone who believes in her wish — y’know, believes in what it is she’s after. I like her chutzpah.”

The not small fact that the role came with song didn’t phase her or frighten her at all. “I didn’t even know how difficult it was going to be until I started. I remember when I started learning the music before I even came into rehearsal. I knew the solos, but then I started on the group numbers, and I thought, ‘Oh, what have I gotten myself into? This is really, really difficult.’ But everyone has been great to me. I’m lucky to have really great models here with Jessie Mueller and Donna and Sarah — so many great singers in the show — so I just sat next to them in rehearsal and tried my best.”

Playbill just published an article with lots of photos of “Into the Woods” cast.

Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine’s Tony Award-winning Into the Woods, which explores the shadows of well-known fairytales, receives a new outdoor staging beginning July 24 at the Delacorte Theater as part of The Public Theater’s programming.

Heavy rains during the July 18 week caused delays in the production’s rehearsal schedule, which pushed back the original July 23 start date to July 24. Into the Woods will officially open as scheduled Aug. 9 for a run through Sept 1.

Tickets to Shakespeare in the Park are free and are distributed, two per person, at the Delacorte Theater in Central Park the day of the show. The Public Theater is again offering free tickets through its Virtual Ticketing lottery at www.shakespeareinthepark.org on the day of the show.

The Delacorte Theater in Central Park is accessible by entering at 81st Street and Central Park West or at 79th Street and Fifth Avenue.
