Check out this funny little blurb in the Editor’s Letter of Blackbook! Don’t forget to grab yourself a copy, as it’s on sale now!

“Hey, I’ve got an ass!” exclaimed Amy Adams at our cover shoot, sashaying in a chic but somewhat risqué number that showed off her curves. “If Kate Winslet can show hers in a magazine, so can I!” The endearing star of Junebug, Enchanted, Doubt and this month’s Sunshine Cleaning showed us another side of her saucy self while modeling a selection of the season’s sexiest designs. Those perceptions of her as a faux-naïve? Right out the door. Those perceptions of her as a kind, humble, lovely soul, I’m happy to report, stayed perfectly intact.

Film Experience got an interview with Amy. They talked about Buffy to Doubt. Be sure to give it a listen!

Despite all those years in the trenches of TV and bit parts, her career is the stuff of fairy tale princesses now, especially since she got there playing Giselle. In grittier terms I wonder if she’s feeling like a rock star what with the mass love and adoration — I’m guessing she could fill stadiums. “I don’t know if rock star is the right word…” she counters, “but I’m having a good time.”

The LA Times has an interesting article about the Oscars. Predicting Amy Adams could go as far as pull off an ‘upset’ and win over the highly favored Penélope Cruz right now (coming off the Bafta win, no Winslet in supporting category, etc). I found it interesting and being huge fans of both Amy Adams and Penélope Cruz and found both performers in that category at their very best and I go back and fourth as to who I want to win. Either way, I’m sure I’ll be happy with the results but we shall see come Oscar night, February 22!

Wowzas! Amy is going to be featured in the Feb/March issue of Blackbook. Today on the magazine’s official website they unveiled the just gorgeous new shoot and article. Let me tell you – Amy looks just amazing … really there aren’t enough words to describe how much I love this fun and sexy shoot! The article is a nice funny read as well so be sure to check it out!

“The sweet girl in Junebug is not who Amy really is,” says co-star Embeth Davidtz. “Amy’s much naughtier than anyone I know. I can’t give you examples because they are so beyond X-rated. She’s got the wickedest sense of humor and says what nobody else would think to say.”

For Night at the Museum 2: Battle of the Smithsonian, a blockbuster ready to strike in May, Adams plays Amelia Earhart, naturally, in jodhpurs. “Tight jodhpurs,” says Adams. “It’s going to be an Amy Adams butt show. I was like, That’s a lot of information. I’m not known for showing my ass on camera, but there it is.”

February 8th was the 2009 BAFTA Awards in London, I was offline most of this weekend and unable to bring you an update but now here we go!

Miss Adams was nominated for supporting actress in Doubt, but lost out to Penélope Cruz. She presented best adapted screenplay to Slumdog Millionaire a little later on that evening. While at the award show, Amy was a vision despite being drenched by the cold rainy weather and the red carpet that wasn’t tented. In an interview (which can be streamed here) Amy said her favorite films of last year was Slumdog, The Wrestler and Wendy and Lucy.

At the ceremony, which also marked Amy’s first time at the BAFTA’s, she wore an electric blue mermaid gown by Roland Mouret. In the gallery you can view pictures and screencaps of Amy from the show (clip to follow shortly.)

The night before Amy also attended the nominees party. There she dawned a silver dress with an an asymmetrical hem, and an overshot shoulder, which she opted to fold down, again by Roland Mouret. Her look was completed by black peep-toes, and a satin clutch. Pictures from that event and candids from afterward are uploaded too. Enjoy!

Amy was just recently featured on the cover of the 78th issue of Movie Maker magazine. The pictures are re-prints but the article itself was new and Amy talks about many of her past and future projects.

I’ve also scanned the Entertainment Weekly Oscar portfolio piece.
