The very reliable Hollywood Reporter is saying that Amy is reportedly no longer going to be a part of Greenburg. If this is true we do find this saddening as we were really looking forward to this one!

Ben Stiller is set to replace Mark Ruffalo in Greenburg, a comedy-drama Noah Baumbach is writing and directing.

Scott Rudin is producing the project, whose logline is being kept under wraps but which is expected to center on the intimacies of relationships in the manner of Baumbach’s other films.

Amy Adams was set to star opposite Ruffalo, but she, too, is said to have fallen off; talks are being held with a number of other actresses.

Amy Adams tells CNN she became “a little obsessed” with the adaptation of the play to the big screen. She plays Sister James, a nun who expresses her suspicions about Father Flynn’s relationship with the student to Sister Aloysius.

The movie is a departure for Adams, who became famous for sunnier roles in films like Enchanted and Talladega Nights. But she said she doesn’t mind being known as an eternally cheerful actress, because that description reflects “75 percent” of her real persona.

“There’s 25 percent that’s probably dark and grumpy and not personable at all, but I keep her at home,” Adams said.

As for Oscar buzz surrounding her performance, the actress said she’s keeping her fingers crossed for Streep and Davis to be nominated for their roles in Doubt but has no expectations for herself.

“It’s always fun, and I would love to. If it doesn’t happen for me, it’s all right as well,” Adams said. “So, the experience of making the film was my get in this case.”

It seems that Amy Adams has yet another project on her plate. She will not only act but produce The Ten Best Days of My Life, which is pretty cool if you ask me!

Twentieth Century Fox has acquired screen rights to Adena Halpern’s novel The Ten Best Days of My Life and will develop it as a star vehicle for Amy Adams and potential directing vehicle for Shawn Levy.

Adams will play a woman who dies and goes to heaven but is in danger of being demoted to a lower level of paradise unless she can prove herself by recounting her 10 best days.The novel was published by Penguin last May.

Adams will make her debut as a producer on the project alongside Levy and his 21 Laps banner. Tom McNulty of 21 Laps will also be involved in a producing capacity.

The ceremony will be televised on CBS on Wednesday, January 7, 2009 with Queen Latifah returning as host.

According to Variety, Amy Adams will star in the indie drama Daughter of the Queen of Sheba for producers Susan Cartsonis and Matt Williams (What Women Want)!

The script, written by Karen Croner based on the bio of NPR correspondent Jacki Lyden, centers on how a woman uses her mother’s madness and delusions to empower herself.

Lyden was NPR’s first correspondent on the air in the aftermath of 9/11 and went to Afghanistan soon after the Taliban fell. She’s working on a book about the secret lives of a small group of Iraqi friends and reported on the slaying of her translator by an American soldier.

The Motion Picture Club has named Amy Adams and Richard Jenkins as its stars of the year.

Ed Harris will be honored as director of the year for his New Line/Warner Bros. western Appaloosa at the group’s 68th annual Installation and Awards Luncheon.

The ceremony, which will also fete Stars of Tomorrow Rosemarie DeWitt (Rachel Getting Married) and Luke Goss (Hellboy II), takes place Nov. 6 at New York’s Marriott Marquis.

Amy is in negotiations to star in a new romantic comedy, titled Leap Year. What about Greenburg, I ask! From The Hollywood Reporter:

Amy Adams is in negotiations to topline Leap Year, a romantic comedy from Spyglass.

Spyglass’ Roger Birnbaum, Gary Barber and Jonathan Glickman are producing with Benderspink.

Adams will play an uptight woman who travels to Dublin to propose to her boyfriend on leap day, Feb. 29, following an Irish tradition in which women propose to men on that day and the man has to say yes. When weather derails her trip, she enlists the help of a surly Irish innkeeper to make an unexpected cross-country trek to pull off the perfect proposal in time.

Harry Elfont and Deb Kaplan, the duo behind Columbia’s Made of Honor, wrote the screenplay, which is in the tone of It Happened One Night.

Although no director is on board, Spyglass is eyeing a mid-February start. Cassidy Lange is the overseeing exec.
