People (the most reliable of tabloids) and US have reported that Amy Adams and fiancé Darren Legallo are expecting their first child together!

The couple, who have been together seven years, met in acting class in 2001 and became engaged in July 2008.

“I probably won’t have a big family,” Adams has said. “I can barely manage my own life! But I do want to have a family.”

We want to extend out most heartfelt of congratulations to the adorable couple! This is wonderful and exciting news, we wish them all the happiness in the world on their growing family!

Empire’s Sexiest Movie Stars

So button-cute that, when Disney needed an actress who could play a cartoon princess come to life, she was the only serious option, Adams is arguably the world’s hottest ginger, ahead of Her From Girls Aloud and, erm, Ginny Weasley.

Most alluring as… Adams doesn’t generally do alluring, but she does cute-as-all-get-out, wholesome, girl-next-door and aw-shucks-ain’t-she-sweet in all manner of films. That said, her ditsy bed-hopping chanteuse in Miss Pettigrew Lives For A Day is pretty irresistible.

Interests include… Apparently, she’s been so focused on her career that she hasn’t really had time to develop any hobbies. Goddammit, get this girl some hobbies, people! Even stamp collecting will do!

Rape Treatment Center Annual Brunch

On October 4, Amy attended the Rape Treatment Center Annual Brunch in Los Angeles. Amy wore a slim white Lanvin dress with patent blue pumps. You can view some small photos here. Site Happenings

So, I’m sure you’re all wondering why this site hasn’t been updated in about 3 months. Well I thought I would finally write a bit about whats been going on.

Lately I’ve been having some difficulties running this site. While Amy is one of my favorite actresses and role models, I became a bit overwhelmed this past summer due to my personal life and online one being more busier than usual. Thus resulting in this site being put on the back burner to say the least. There are also several amazing Amy fan sites out there, I know I personally love visiting so sometimes I didn’t feel I could meet the demands and continue to bring such quality material on my own site right now.

So I’ve been a bit torn with what to do. I really can’t see myself closing this site at the moment, but to say I’m ready to dive back into updating wouldn’t be the truth either. A couple of days ago, I decided to cut back with some of my other online ties so I am hoping that might help me regain interest working on this site again – trust me it has nothing to do with my interest in Amy. She’s one of the few actresses working right now who’s career is in a great place I’m happy about, not to mention a long time favorite. It’s merely from a webmaster’s perspective which can only be perhaps understood if you are one yourself.

So since I do not want to take on a co-web (due to my trust issues over a site I’ve put so much into) I decided to officially have this site on hiatus. It’s been that way for months but at least you will know now why. I will do my best at covering the very newest things (such as That Morning Show tomorrow) and any upcoming events and things and we’ll see how I feel in a few weeks, or a month. If this plan fails I’ll have to re-evaluate my position on this site or extend the hiatus longer.

If anyone has any suggestions, or thoughts on this please don’t be shy. It could greatly affect my decision if I knew how you, the visitors felt. You can leave a comment below or e-mail me. What do you like about this site? What do you feel it lacks (other than regular updates as of late)? If I decide to continue what would be the thing you’d most want improved/added to this website?

Amy Adams Is A Fighter

Amy Adams will star opposite Mark Wahlberg and Christian Bale in The Fighter, which David O. Russell is directing for Relativity Media and Paramount.

The drama revolves around the life of boxer “Irish” Mickey Ward (Wahlberg) and trainer-brother Dick Eklund (Bale), chronicling their early days on the rough streets of Lowell, Mass., through Eklund’s battle with drugs and Ward’s eventual world championship in London.

Adams will play Charlene, a tough, gritty bartender and former college high-jumper from Massachusetts who ends up dating Mickey.

Melissa Leo also has been cast as Wahlberg and Bale’s mother.

The movie begins shooting next month in Lowell.

Night At The Museum 2 Weekend Box Office

Ben Stiller beat Christian Bale in the North American weekend box office duel between their respective Night at the Museum and Terminator sequels, according to studio estimates issued on Sunday.

The 20th Century Fox comedy Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian sold $53.5 million worth of tickets during the three days beginning Friday, far exceeding the $30.4 million debut of its 2006 predecessor.

Terminator Salvation earned $43.0 million. The film fell short of the $44 million start for the previous entry in the cyborg series, 2003’s Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines, the swan song of franchise star Arnold Schwarzenegger.

But the race between the two new sequels was closer than it appeared because Warner Bros. got a head start on the U.S. Memorial Day holiday weekend by opening Terminator on Thursday, when it earned about $13.4 million. That takes the film’s four-day total to $56.4 million.

The studios generally try to avoid each other when they roll out their big movies. In this case, Night at the Museum played to a broad audience, while Terminator was more targeted at male moviegoers.

Time Warner Inc-owned Warner Bros. said Terminator was likely more affected by competition for older men from the National Basketball Association playoffs, which hurt business in cities like Los Angeles.

Fox, a unit of News Corp, said the Night at the Museum opening set a new live-action record for Stiller. The film also opened in most international markets, earning $50.5 million.

Last weekend’ North American champion, Angels & Demons, slipped to No. 3 with $21.4 million, taking the 10-day total for Columbia Pictures’ Tom Hanks religious thriller to $81.5 million. By contrast, its 2006 predecessor The Da Vinci Code had earned $136.5 million after the same period.

But the Sony Corp unit has said it never expected the second film to be as big, and noted it that it was the top choice internationally with sales of $60.4 million. Its foreign total now stands at $198.3 million.

Night At the Museum Expands Its Box-Office Lead

Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian widened its first place lead by grossing $20 million on Saturday, according to box-office estimates. This brings its three-day weekend estimate to $53.5 million. By comparison, the original Night at the Museum opened to a three-day weekend tally of $30.4 million in December 2006, and then showed incredible stamina during the following months. As for Terminator Salvation, the future may be looking bleak. Salvation grossed $14.8 million on Saturday — a small drop from its estimated Friday harvest of $15 million. Nearly all of the movies in the Top 10 saw Friday-to-Saturday boosts of at least 20%, so the fact that Salvation’s numbers are actually dropping is cause for concern. Salvation is on track for a three-day weekend total of $43 million. The last Terminator movie, Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines, opened to $44 million during Independence Day weekend in 2003. Saturday’s figures are below, and check back here on Monday for a full four-day holiday weekend recap.

Last week Amy took a break from filming in Ireland to begin promoting Night at the Museum 2. On May 14th and 15th she attended both a premiere and press conference in Washington. Amy was her usual fashion savy self in a lavender gown Roland Mouret Fall 2009 at the premiere and was elegant and chic in a black cocktail dress at the conference.

As most of you know, Miss Adams is gracing the cover of W magazine’s May issue! And how gorgeous is the shoot! It’s also quite unlike an previous shoots to date so that’s super cool. The article is yet another fascinating read, it’s available here in our library so be sure to check it out. I don’t know when I’ll be able to purchase the magazine myself, but I will try and get scans up as soon as possible.

“She is so transformative in her acting, and that’s the hardest thing to be,” says Shawn Levy, director of Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian, out in May, in which Adams plays Amelia Earhart. “It’s rare among younger actors and especially rare among attractive actors. It’s the domain of so-called character actors. Amy never got the memo that she’s superhot.

Adam Scott Joins Leap Year

Adam Scott (Step Brothers) has signed on to star alongside Amy Adams and Matthew Goode in Spyglass’ romantic comedy Leap Year, reports Variety.

The story centers on a young woman who travels to Dublin to propose to her boyfriend (Scott) on Leap Day. When weather forces her to veer off course, she enlists a cynical Irish innkeeper (Goode) to join her on a cross-country trip.

Anand Tucker directs from a script by Harry Elfont and Deb Kaplan. Shooting begins this month in Ireland.
