Hey there!

My name is Luciana and I’ll be the new owner of Amy Adams Fan. Maybe you know some of my other sites, like Adoring Sandra Bullock, Divine Julianne, Anna Paquin Fan between others. I’m a huge Amy fan and was planning a site dedicated to her for a long time, so you can imagine how excited I am with this new position.

There’ll be some changes here, I’m working to upgrading scripts and converting the whole main site to wordpress. So please bare with me while I’m doing all this changes. I also will catch the gallery, to see if there’s anything missing and what I can be changing.

Site Note : Layout Apology

I’ve been getting a lot of comments and emails on this matter, so I thought I should post about it. I honestly didn’t even realize the similarities between Enchanting Amy’s layout and our layout. I am deeply sorry, but I did not copy. You can ask Mycah, she gave me this theme when I adopted the site months ago. It is very unfortunate, and I feel terrible about the error. Lisa, the owner of Enchanting, is a very good friend of mine and I have already apologized to her. I just wanted to extend my apologies to all the viewers, it was just a simple accident. I will be changing the layout as soon as I can get another one made. You can choose to believe me or not, but I am telling the truth. I love Enchanting myself, and would never disrespect that site in any way. Again, I am sorry for my mistake, and I hope you can forgive me.

New Layout! New Project for Amy?

We have a gorgeous new layout designed by the fantastic Mycah. I honestly love it, and I hope you do as well! If you run into any problems, please let us know. Leave a comment to let us know what you think!

Also, I noticed while I was putting up the new layout, that almost all of our pages are outdated, so I will be going through them and updating them. While I am at it, is there any new content that you would like to see here? Leave a comment if you can think of something!

Finally, we also have some Amy news for all of you! Looks like Amy might be playing Janis Joplin in the new film, Janis Joplin : Get It While You Can. This role will be pretty interesting for Amy, and what do you guys think? Do you think she will make a good Janis?

During an interview, Twilight producer Wyck Godfrey got to talking about some other projects his production company, Temple Hill Entertainment, is working on. One of them is a Janis Joplin biopic to be directed by Fernando Meirelles (City of God) starring … Amy Adams. Amy Adams, the lovely, talented, Oscar-nominated actress from Junebug , Enchanted, and Doubt whom it is, nonetheless, absolutely impossible to imagine taking a slug of alcohol, let alone choking on her own vomit? Yes! That Amy Adams! IMDb has the movie listed under the title Janis Joplin: Get It While You Can (though it says both Adams and long-rumored-Janis Zooey Deschanel are playing the lead role). While we can definitely imagine actresses less suited to the part by the fact of their total lack of talent, it is hard for us to imagine an actress less suited to the part by the fact of her total non-Joplin-esque vibe. Of course, if Adams-as-Joplin does fall through, we’re sure Jenna would jump at the chance to put her Jackie Jormp-Jomp impression to good use.

I want to thank everyone who left their opinion on the matter, and I have decided from now on to just post on-set photos. Photos of Amy out and about in daily life, also known as candids, will not be posted. I completely agree with what most of you said, and I am over all pleased with my decision.

‘the Fighter’ Release Date & Site Note

With the arrival of Amy’s baby girl, Amy news has been terribly slow. However, we do have a little tidbit for you all to enjoy. Apparently Amy’s latest flick the Fighter, will be released November 26, 2010. Make sure you mark your calendars!!

Also, I have started to become unsure on one topic of the site. As you know, we do have candids in our gallery. Normally that would not be an issue, but Amy has stated in the past couple months about the paparazzi hounding her. That leaves me with a dilemma, since to leave the candids up would be not respecting Amy. I have thought about deleting them all except for on set pics, but I wanted to know everyone else’s opinion on the subject. So please leave a comment with what you think on the matter.

It’s a Girl! for Amy and Darren

People is reporting that Amy gave birth to her first child on Saturday, and that it is a girl. They named her Aviana Olea Legallo. Congratulations Amy and Darren!

Baby makes three!

Amy Adams and fiancé Darren Legallo welcomed 7-lbs. daughter Aviana Olea Legallo on Saturday in Los Angeles, her rep tells PEOPLE exclusively.

“Mom and baby are home and doing great,” says Adams’s rep. “Everyone’s healthy and happy.”

Shortly after announcing her pregnancy in December, the actress said she and Legallo planned to find out the sex of their baby on the way.

“We’ll probably find out,” Adams, 35, admitted. “I thought about waiting and I just don’t think that’s really my personality.”

With nine months to prepare for baby, the Julie and Julia star also made sure to take care of her own needs.

“It’s been good for me,” she told USA Today. “I’ve benefited a lot from taking some downtime and working on friendships and really reconnecting with my fiancé.”

AFI Tribute to Mike Nichols

We are going to have a new appearance soon!! Amy is stated to be attending a tribute to Mike Nichols from AFI, along with many other celebrities. Check it out:

The American Film Institute and TV Land will give them to you when the AFI salutes director Mike Nichols with its Life Achievement Award. The event tapes June 10; it premieres at 9 p.m. June 27 on TV Land.

Nichols is the Oscar-winning director of “The Graduate.” He also directed “Silkwood,” “Working Girl,” “Carnal Knowledge,” “Charlie Wilson’s War” and “Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?” Nichols won the Emmy for HBO’s “Angels in America.” He is married to ABC anchor Diane Sawyer.

The AFI announced that 25 performers had committed to take part in honoring Nichols: Amy Adams, Warren Beatty, Annette Bening, Candice Bergen, Cher, Nora Ephron, Harrison Ford, Whoopi Goldberg, Tom Hanks, Dustin Hoffman, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Shirley MacLaine, Steve Martin, Elaine May, Jack Nicholson, Al Pacino, Mary-Louise Parker, Natalie Portman, Robert Redford, Julia Roberts, Meryl Streep, Elizabeth Taylor, Emma Thompson, Sigourney Weaver and Robin Williams.

Nichols is the 38th recipient of this prize. Previous winners include Taylor, Nicholson, Hanks, Streep, Ford, Pacino, Beatty, Orson Welles, John Ford, Bette Davis, Barbara Stanwyck,, Jack Lemmon, James Stewart, Henry Fonda, Gregory Peck, James Cagney, Kirk Douglas and Alfred Hitchcock.

First off, I want to apologize for the lack of updates around here. I know that is not a good way to start off my run as webmiss, so I felt it was right to apologize. I have been planning on making another huge gallery update, and with schooling getting into the way, I have not been able to update the site with it yet. I feel awful about it, and I just wanted to let everyone know that I apologize and am trying my best to get the updates up.

New Owner

Hello everyone! My name is Chelsa and I am very ecstatic to announce that I will be taking over Amy Adams Fan. You might know me from my other fansites, Sarah Jessica Central and Claire Danes Fan. I first want to thank Mycah for entrusting me with this amazing fansite. I am extremely pleased to be taking over, and I hope that this transition of owners will run smoothly for everyone. I really want to please the visitors, since you are what matter, so if you ever have any questions/concerns/comments please do not hesitate to leave a comment. Over the next few days I will be getting Amy Adams Fan fully updated, with the gallery back up-to-date and a fresh new layout by Mycah herself.

To start off my first post here, I have created a new twitter account for the site. You can now receive daily Amy news and updates via our twitter. All you have to do is follow us! Click here to follow us now!

Since the site has not been updated in a couple of months, I have decided to post a short version of all the latest news that has been going on with Amy. Fortunately, with her pregnancy, Amy news has been very slow, so there has not been much that you might have missed. Here are just a few things I thought you might want to know

Amy Adams Is Pregnant!

People (the most reliable of tabloids) and US have reported that Amy Adams and fiancé Darren Legallo are expecting their first child together!

The couple, who have been together seven years, met in acting class in 2001 and became engaged in July 2008.

“I probably won’t have a big family,” Adams has said. “I can barely manage my own life! But I do want to have a family.”

We want to extend out most heartfelt of congratulations to the adorable couple! This is wonderful and exciting news, we wish them all the happiness in the world on their growing family!

Empire’s Sexiest Movie Stars

So button-cute that, when Disney needed an actress who could play a cartoon princess come to life, she was the only serious option, Adams is arguably the world’s hottest ginger, ahead of Her From Girls Aloud and, erm, Ginny Weasley.

Most alluring as… Adams doesn’t generally do alluring, but she does cute-as-all-get-out, wholesome, girl-next-door and aw-shucks-ain’t-she-sweet in all manner of films. That said, her ditsy bed-hopping chanteuse in Miss Pettigrew Lives For A Day is pretty irresistible.

Interests include… Apparently, she’s been so focused on her career that she hasn’t really had time to develop any hobbies. Goddammit, get this girl some hobbies, people! Even stamp collecting will do!

Rape Treatment Center Annual Brunch

On October 4, Amy attended the Rape Treatment Center Annual Brunch in Los Angeles. Amy wore a slim white Lanvin dress with patent blue pumps. You can view some small photos here. Site Happenings

So, I’m sure you’re all wondering why this site hasn’t been updated in about 3 months. Well I thought I would finally write a bit about whats been going on.

Lately I’ve been having some difficulties running this site. While Amy is one of my favorite actresses and role models, I became a bit overwhelmed this past summer due to my personal life and online one being more busier than usual. Thus resulting in this site being put on the back burner to say the least. There are also several amazing Amy fan sites out there, I know I personally love visiting so sometimes I didn’t feel I could meet the demands and continue to bring such quality material on my own site right now.

So I’ve been a bit torn with what to do. I really can’t see myself closing this site at the moment, but to say I’m ready to dive back into updating wouldn’t be the truth either. A couple of days ago, I decided to cut back with some of my other online ties so I am hoping that might help me regain interest working on this site again – trust me it has nothing to do with my interest in Amy. She’s one of the few actresses working right now who’s career is in a great place I’m happy about, not to mention a long time favorite. It’s merely from a webmaster’s perspective which can only be perhaps understood if you are one yourself.

So since I do not want to take on a co-web (due to my trust issues over a site I’ve put so much into) I decided to officially have this site on hiatus. It’s been that way for months but at least you will know now why. I will do my best at covering the very newest things (such as That Morning Show tomorrow) and any upcoming events and things and we’ll see how I feel in a few weeks, or a month. If this plan fails I’ll have to re-evaluate my position on this site or extend the hiatus longer.

If anyone has any suggestions, or thoughts on this please don’t be shy. It could greatly affect my decision if I knew how you, the visitors felt. You can leave a comment below or e-mail me. What do you like about this site? What do you feel it lacks (other than regular updates as of late)? If I decide to continue what would be the thing you’d most want improved/added to this website?

On July 27th, Amy Adams attended the Los Angeles screening of Julie & Julia. Amy was gorgeous as always, wearing a white RM by Roland Mouret Aphrodite dress with nude suede shoes. Also a reminder Miss Adams will be on David Letterman tonight!
