Is the middle child of seven - boy, girl, boy, Amy, girl, boy, boy.
Was raised in a Mormon family - though she's no longer a member of the church.
Her two sisters were pregnant while she filmed Junebug.
Brother Eddie Adams appeared in Austin Powers in Goldmember and is now working for TMZ. He also appeared with Amy in the short film Pennies.
Her mother went on to become a semiprofessional bodybuilder.
Her dad was a singer performing in nightclubs, restaurants and officers' clubs. He has also done a bit of amateur acting.
Favorite movies include The Apartment, Vertigo, Breakfast at Tiffany's, Grease and Gone with the Wind. She loves Classic Hollywood films.

Used to be obsessed with Vertigo's Kim Novak.
Dream roles include Aldonza in Man of La Mancha and Elphaba in Wicked.

In 1999, Amy Adams landed a role on Manchester Prep, a TV series that never aired. But her scenes were eventually salvaged and used in the straight-to-video film, Cruel Intentions 2.
Was fired from Dr Vegas and the show was cancelled shortly after. Amy appeared in a total of five episodes.
Used to date a lawyer but he did not really appreciate Amy's job.
