We’d like to take a look back at the year that has passed for Amy Adams. Here is a compilation of our favorite 2008 moments, by myself for Amy Adams Fan. Feel free to shout out with your on selections here or at the forum!
Best News: This has been an amazing year for Amy and us fans! What with the release of Miss Pettigrew and Doubt, several nominations and acclaim for her performance as Sister James in Doubt all of the incredible magazine editorials: Interview, Elle and not one, but two Vanity Fair covers! and last but not least the engagement of Amy to long time romance Darren Le Gallo. We’re happy Amy is truly having an enchanting time in her life and career right now!
Worst News: The rumor/announcment Amy is possibly no longer attached to Noah Baumbach’s Greenburg [view entry].
Favorite Shoot Pic (excluding mentioned shoot above):
The Vanity Fair cover is truly to die for, but the SNL outtakes are equally amazing! There were so many beautiful images of Amy this year – it was very difficult to choose, heck I’ll probably even change my mind from time to time, because they are all so effortlessly amazing.
Favorite Premiere Look:
Amy looked perfection head to toe at all of the Doubt premieres, I really couldn’t choose. At the AFI premiere she wore a figure hugging strapless lace black dress and she picked maroon peep-toes and clutch, instead of the standard black. At the LA one she wore soft feminine tones and looks so pretty, lastly at the NY premiere she wore a ravishing raspberry dress is by Christian Dior Pre-Fall 2008, she carried a black Louis Vuitton Minaudiere clutch and matching Louis Vuitton peep-toes.
Favorite Amy Adams 2008 Quote:
“She’s a great gal, she’s amazing, I can’t say enough, she’s the next whatever-she-wants-to-be. And so composed… Ah, enough about Emily! She’s fantastic, she’s gorgeous! And she’s younger than me, the hag!” (on Emily Blunt)
“Everyone’s always like: ‘You’re so typecast,’ But actually, when I came out to L.A., I was always the bitchy girl.” What changed? “My hair!”
Favorite 2008 Project: Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day
Most Anticipated 2009 Project: Sunshine Cleaning I am the most excited for. It looks really cute, touching and stars Emily Blunt who is lovely in her on right.
