Last night, Amy Adams appeared on a very special episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live, hosted by Matt Damon and re-titled Jimmy Kimmel Sucks! Tons of celebrities guested the show to trash-talk Jimmy Kimmel (all in good humor) with guest host – and self-proclaimed Kimmel-hater – Matt Damon. Amy looked gorgeous as she told Damon about the worst experience of her life (and yes, it involved Kimmel) and was super cute with pal Reese Witherspoon. I have added HD screen captures, official stills and the full video clip of Amy’s appearance to the site.
Yesterday, Amy Adams was on hand at the Los Angeles Film Critics Association Awards to receive the Best Supporting Actress award. She looked absolutely stunning in an Elie Saab Spring 2009 Couture dress, as she posed for the cameras next to her husband. After the event, Amy continued to Moët & Chandon and the HFPA’s toast for The Weinstein Company’s Golden Globe nominees. 100 pictures from yesterday’s events can be seen in our photo gallery!
Didn’t Amy look fantastic at the Critics’ Choice Movie Awards last night? Sadly, she didn’t win but she seemed to enjoy herself with old friends and co-stars at the show. Here’s more good news – she’s on the cover of Citizen K’s Winter issue! Amy’s featured in a phenomenal editorial, looking gorgeous in various outfits, shot in an old building. I have added the cover and photoshoot to the photo gallery. Hopefully scans will be available soon, as well.
As previously stated, Amy Adams received an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actress for her brilliant portrayal of Peggy Dodd in The Master this morning. E! Online has printed some of the nominees’ reactions on their site, including a statement from Amy. Here’s what she said:
Amy Adams, Best Supporting Actress, The Master: “It is such an honor to receive this recognition from the Academy. Working with Paul Thomas Anderson was a unique and wonderful opportunity that I am so grateful for. I’d also like to send congratulations to the other nominees and to my costars Philip [Seymour Hoffman] and Joaquin [Phoenix].”
The nominations for the 85th Annual Academy Awards are announced as we speak – and Amy Adams just received one for Best Supporting Actress for The Master!! Huge congratulations to Amy for this well-deserved fourth Oscar nomination! She was nominated alongside Anne Hathaway, Jacki Weaver, Sally Field and Helen Hunt. Other nominations for The Master include Joaquin Phoenix and Phillip Seymour Hoffman. The winners will be announced during the Academy Awards ceremony on Sunday, January 24. Good luck, Amy!
The nominations for the 2013 BAFTA Awards were announced this morning – and Amy Adams was nominated for Best Supporting Actress for The Master! Big congratulations to Amy for the nomination, which she got alongside Anne Hathaway, Helen Hunt, Judi Dench and Sally Field. The Master was also nominated for Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor and Best Original Screenplay. Hopefully we will continue our celebration tomorrow when the Academy Award nominations will be announced…
As mentioned in a previous post, Amy Adams is featured inside the February issue of British In Style magazine (with the fantastic Jessica Chastain on the cover). We get to read a small interview where she talks about her body, fashion and why she admires Katy Perry. Two pages from the magazine have been added to our photo gallery. You can read bits from the interview below.
“I’m a strong believer that looking perfect is boring and, besides, I’m far from it. I think it’s nice when you can see a few imperfections, which is why I wear sheer rather than heavy foundations. I guess the one product I couldn’t live without is mascara.”
“I think it’s great when women make a real statement, but I’m a little self-conscious. I prefer to stay natural, as I hate drawing attention to myself (ironic I know as an actress). I really admire people like Lady Gaga and Katy Perry who have the freedom to wear such cool looks. I love people who take risks, but I also like to stay true to myself and that’s just not me.”
“When it comes to my body, sometimes, I feel in really good shape and other times, I feel like I’m letting it slide. I’m trying to get back to my pre-pregnancy body, but I don’t know if I ever will 100 per cent. I try to exercise every day, even if it’s only 15 or 20 minutes of yoga. Finding the energy can be tough, so I’ve recently gone from one coffee a day to two or three! When it comes to body advice, I always say it boils down to confidence. Accept the body you’ve been given and work with it.”
A new – very beautiful – picture from behind the scenes of Amy Adams’ first campaign for Eau de Lacoste’s women’s fragrance have surfaced! She looks gorgeous and natural in the photo, which we’ve added to the gallery. A video from the set was added yesterday, if you haven’t yet, be sure to watch it here. The brand created a scent that is like “the feeling on skin of pure white cotton fabric.”
The plan is to start the promotions online, with a ton of advertising coming later. We can’t wait to see the print ads everywhere in a couple of weeks! So exciting for our Amy!
Today, the list of winners of the National Society of Film Critics awards were announced – and Amy Adams won for Best Supporting Actress for The Master! Huge congrats to Amy for the well-deserved award! Let’s hope this isn’t the last one she receives for her fantastic portrayal of Peggy Dodd, as all the major award shows are still ahead of us. The Master also won for Best Cinematography (Mihai Malaimare, Jr.)! See the complete list of winners here.
Thanks to InStyle UK, we have the first look at Amy Adams’ commercial shoot for the new Lacoste fragrance! She looks absolutely stunning in the video, where she poses for the ads and talks about the fragrance. Be sure to check out the video below for that. Also, Amy’s gracing the pages of the British magazine’s February issue (with Jessica Chastain on the cover). Scans will be added next, so stay tuned!
