‘The Master’ scores WGA nomination

Earlier today, the nominations for this year’s Writers Guild of America Awards were announced – and The Master was one of the nominated films! Also in the same category are FlightLooperMoonrise Kingdom and Zero Dark Thirty. Big congratulations to Paul Thomas Anderson (who also directed the movie) for the nomination. Hopefully this increases the chances for Academy Award nominations for the cast and crew from The Master, Amy Adams included. The Oscar nominations announcement is scheduled for January 10. Fingers crossed!

In other news, if you haven’t watched the incredible new trailer for Man of Steel, do it now!

Viral Website for ‘Man of Steel’ Launched

Warner Bros has launched a brand new viral website for the upcoming superhero movie Man of Steel by director Zack Snyder. The movie stars Henry Cavill as Superman and Amy Adams as Lois Lane, with Russell Crowe, Diane Lane, Kevin Costner and Michael Shannon rounding out the cast. The mysterious website The Deep Space Radio Wave Project appear with a link to an intriguing countdown clock with ‘otherworldly’ digits. You can try to decipher the code using the The Deep Space Radio Wave Project key page to see what it all means. I am completely lost as to how you’re supposed to crack the code, but I’m sure fans will do it in no time. Hopefully there will be some great new stuff coming our way once it’s done.

I have also added the cool new poster for the movie to the photo gallery, as well as updated our filmography page with some more information. Man of Steel arrives in US theaters on 14th June 2013.

Amy Adams to receive Cinema Vanguard Award

Amy just received a second award for her work in The Master! She will be awarded the Santa Barbara International Film Festival’s Cinema Vanguard Award on January 31. Amy, who also recently won Best Supporting Actress from the LA Film Critics Association, is being recognized for her performance in Paul Thomas Anderson’s drama, which also stars Joaquin Phoenix and Philip Seymour Hoffman. Says exec director Roger Durling:

“Amy Adams is one of the gutsiest and most gifted actors working today. She embodies what the Cinema Vanguard Award is all about, and after her performance in ‘The Master’ – the time has come to recognize her talent and versatility.”

Again, a huge congratulations is in order to Amy for another well-deserved award! Hopefully this also increases her chances for a fourth Academy Award-nomination this year! [credit]

Additional Pictures from 2012 Events

Firstly, I’d like to introduce myself. I’m Filip, the new co-web working with Luciana to bring you all the latest on our Amy Adams. I first fell in love with Amy through Junebug (still one of my favorite performances) and have followed her ever since. I hope can bring something new to the table and help Luciana with the updating of AAF.

Secondly, preparing for what’s to come next year, I have added almost 400 new high-quality pictures from four events Amy attended in 2012. She looked fantastic at each outing, with the Trouble with the Curve look being my favorite (gorgeous or what?). Once again, thanks to Luciana for letting me on the team!
