‘Batman v Superman’: What do we know so far?

We’re a little low on information about the Man of Steel sequel, but it ends now. As you can see, the official logo was released and with it, the official title for the film: Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice.

Production is already underway and the film is being made in Detroit. According to MLive Ben Affleck (Batman), Henry Cavill (Superman) and Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman) have already been spotted in the county and some photos of Gal as Diana Prince has already surfaced.

Amy will be back as Lois Lane, but I’m not expecting her role to be larger (in screen time) than it was on Man of Steel. Also the film will have Jeremy Irons as Bruce Wayne’s butler Alfred, and Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor.

Dawn of Justice will be with us from April 29, 2016. It was pushed back from its original release date, July 17 next year, to reportedly allow the filmmakers to ‘fully realise their vision’.

Let’s hope pictures of Amy on set can surface soon.

Casting Update: ‘Batman vs Superman’

Zack Snyder’s “Batman Vs. Superman” is certainly shaping with an intriguing cast, that had you told us this last year, we probably wouldn’t have believed you. Of course, Henry Cavill is back in the cape and Ben Affleck will wear the cowl, and they’ll be surrounded by a roster that includes Jesse Eisenberg, Jeremy Irons, Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne, Diane Lane and Gal Gadot. And now three more are coming aboard.

The usually excellent Holly Hunter, rising Callan Mulvey (“300: Rise Of An Empire,” “Captain America: The Winter Soldier”) and Tao Okamoto (Mariko in “The Wolverine”) have all joined the sequel, and no, their characters have not been revealed. So we’ll let the internet speculate away on that.

But if you have your own theories, let us know in the comments section. “Batman Vs. Superman” arrives on May 6, 2016. [Variety]

New TV Spot for ‘Her’

Warner Bros. released today a new TV spot for ‘Her’, that’s opening on limited theaters today – eyeing more awards, of course, since has been nominated for Golden Globes, SAG Awards and lots of other awards. Her goes wide on January 14.

In other news, Variety has the news that Warner Brothers “wants” Joaquin Phoenix for being a villain in Superman vs Batman, though no offer has been made. And while the part is being kept under wraps, the trade says it’s “likely Lex Luthor.”

Being a huge Joaquin fan myself, I hope it happens! And you, what do you think?

Amy Adams on Wonder Woman’s Presence in Batman vs. Superman

During the press tour for American Hustle, Super Hero Hype took the opportunity to ask Amy how did she feel about the recent news regarding Wonder Woman casting for Batman vs Superman.

“Am I interested? I don’t know. I mean, we’ll see. I hope that I can be involved with a woman on screen where we’re not in a love triangle. That would be fun. Maybe where we team up together and we work as teammates instead of adversaries.”
