Amy Adams took part yesterday from the Deadline’s The Contenders panel, alongside director Adam McKay, talking about her upcoming project Vice.

At the panel, she marveled at the similarities she’d found between herself and her character, as she set out on the project. “Her ancestors came over on the Mormon train; I was raised Mormon. There’s this pioneering spirit that my immediate relatives have that her family has. They all had this hope of an American dream, of finding Zion—the Mormon Mecca,” the actress said. “For me, finding my way into Lynne, it actually felt like I knew her.

Amy Adams started filming for The Woman in the Window and later today she was photographed on set in New York. The cast and crew were on location in the Harlem neighborhood of Manhattan that day to complete some scenes.

The Woman in the Window was originally a book that was published in early 2018 and quickly became a best-seller. Amy plays the role of Anna Fox, a woman who is unable to leave her home and spends her days spying on her neighbors. The psychological thriller takes the reader on a wild ride as she questions her sanity over what happens when some new neighbors move in.

Julianne Moore, Anthony Mackie, Gary Oldman, Brian Tyree Henry, Wyatt Russell, and more also star in the film, set for release on October 4, 2019.

We got exciting news over The Woman in the Window. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Gary Oldman has joined to star opposite Amy Adams. Earlier this week, it was announced Julianne Moore was in talks to join the movie as well.

The Darkest Hour filmmaker Joe Wright is directing the thriller, which sees Adams portraying a child psychologist with severe agoraphobia (and a penchant for mixing alcohol with her medication) who hasn’t left her house in months. The woman believes she witnessed a horrible crime involving a new neighboring family but no one, including the police, will believe her.

Julianne and Gary would play the mother and father of this misterious family.

Fox has dated psychological thriller The Woman In The Window for October 4, 2019, Deadline is reporting.

Amy Adams will star in the former, Joe Wright and screenwriter Tracey Letts’ adaptation of A.J. Finn’s hit Hitchcockian-style novel about an agorophobic child psychologist with a drinking problem who one day witnesses a crime take place in the house across the park. Scott Rudin and Eli Bush are producing.

The slot means The Woman In The Window could potentially feature in early 2020 awards chatter. Fox’s similarly-angled Oscar-nominated box office smash Gone Girl got an early October slot in 2014 while Universal releasedThe Girl On The Train at the same time in 2016 to strong effect and a BAFTA nomination for Blunt.

Amy Adams is attached to star in The Woman in The Window, a Hitchcockian thriller directed by Joe Wright, Empire is reporting.

The movie is an adaptation of AJ Finn’s bestseller, that follows Dr. Anna Fox (Adams), who spends her time hiding away in her New York home, drinking too much, watching old movies and spying on her neighbours.

But when she starts focusing on the seemingly perfect Russell family across the way, she witnesses something she shouldn’t have. Which is when things get dangerous…

Amy Adams in Talks to Star in Annapurna’s ‘True American’

Amy Adams is in talks to star in the upcoming Annapurna Pictures drama ‘The True American’, according to Variety. Annapurna will be produce the movie, but no finance it. Amazon Studios are in talks to take over financing and distributing it.

“Jackie” helmer Pablo Larrain is on board to direct, and Mark Ruffalo and Kumail Nanjiani are also in talks to co-star with Adams.

Based on the nonfiction book by Anand Giridharadas, “The True American” is set in Texas in the days following the 9/11 attacks. It follows Rais Bhuiyan, a Muslim immigrant and Bangladesh Air Force veteran who narrowly survived a killing spree that took the lives of two other immigrants. Employed at a Dallas-area convenience store as he established himself in America, Bhuiyan worked to have his attacker, self-proclaimed “Arab slayer” Mark Stroman, spared from execution.
