A third trailer for “The Muppets” have been released. Check it:
Category: The Muppets
A little humor, a little parody, more Muppets and a nod to the past, this teaser trailer — which pays homage to the Wolf Pack in The Hangover movies (that’s the trio made up of Bradley Cooper, Zach Galifianakis and Ed Helms) — is more entertaining and more interesting than the previous tease.
As said before, Walt Disney Pictures released a teaser trailer for The Muppets attached to Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. You can see it below:

It seems a “The Muppets” 20 seconds short trailer is on cinemas, and you can see it before “Pirates of the Caribbean”. A link was sent over to me by my friend Colleen with a description of how is the trailer:
The trailer starts out a joke really advertising only Jason Segal and Amy Adams as a lovey couple celebreating their trip to los angels and just when you think the trailer is over and you pass it off as another romantic comedy does Kermit show up…there are not of story spoiling moments in it the the scenes they picked definately give off the good old fashioned muppet vibe….and you guess it full body muppets in some moments ala Gonzo ripping his shirt open Superman Style and even a nod to the original muppet movie. Crazy harry ends the trailer with an explosion and one liner.
A promo poster was also released this week.
I just found out this interview done for ComingSoon.net while Amy was promoting “The Muppets” at CinemaCon.
CS: What was it like the first day you guys were on set with the Muppets? I now you had these table reads, but was it really hard to focus on your acting when you had all these Muppets you’ve known for so long there with you?
Amy Adams: For me, I have to say the most surreal thing was, it wasn’t necessarily working with them, because you accept them so quickly as co-stars – it’s like watching and loving Jason’s work and then getting to work with him, but it’s true. Then you accept him as the character he’s playing, so that was part of it. But to see them when they’re not animated was really upsetting.

Rebecca Murray from About.com Hollywood Movies at Walt Disney Pictures’ 2011 CinemaCon Presentation.
Putting together the 2011 The Muppets movie was a real passion project for Jason Segel (Forgetting Sarah Marshall, How I Met Your Mother), and one of the reasons he was so keen on getting the Muppets back on the big screen had to do with the tone of the past Muppets productions. Segel says their brand of comedy is just “sweet” and that gentle, family-friendly tone has been missing from live-action comedies recently. The Muppets will be only released in Thanksgiving, but Amy is already promoting the movie, and was last March 29th with her co-star Jason Segel at 2011 Cinema Con. Check some HQ pictures added to our gallery:
Disney has released a new promo image for The Muppets, their upcoming reboot of the franchise co-written by and starring Jason Segel. The image shows Segel and new Muppet Walter super-excited to be standing next to each other. Of slightly more use is a synopsis for the film. The Muppets will have Walter, Gary (Segel), and Mary (Amy Adams) trying to save the Muppet Theater from nefarious oilman Tex Richman (Chris Cooper). Unfortunately, all of the Muppets have gone their separate ways and found new careers.
On vacation in Los Angeles, Walter, the world’s biggest Muppet fan, and his friends Gary (Segel) and Mary (Amy Adams) from Smalltown, USA, discover the nefarious plan of oilman Tex Richman (Chris Cooper) to raze the Muppet Theater and drill for the oil recently discovered beneath the Muppets’ former stomping grounds. To stage The Greatest Muppet Telethon Ever and raise the $10 million needed to save the theater, Walter, Mary and Gary help Kermit reunite the Muppets, who have all gone their separate ways: Fozzie now performs with a Reno casino house band called the Moopets, Miss Piggy is a plus-size fashion editor at Vogue Paris, Animal is in a Santa Barbara clinic for anger management, and Gonzo is a high-powered plumbing magnate.
