Site Announcement

I wanted to let all of our loyal visitors know that the site will likely not be updated a whole lot this month. Mycah is having some serious PC problems (and has been for several months) and I am going to be traveling and then returning to university late this month. Naturally, our ‘real lives’ come before the online projects. If the hiatus will last longer than a month, we will be sure to update on it again. But rest assured, we will update as soon as we humanly can. Meanwhile, our forum is the top place to go for all the latest on Miss Amy. See you soon!

More from the Tropic Thunder Premiere

We have added tons more pictures of Amy from the Tropic Thunder premiere and we now have exactly 200! The film has been out for a while now so maybe seeing Amy at the premiere helped boost ticket sales as the film took the #1 spot for the second week, haha! 😉 She really looks gorgeous here, enjoy the pics! By the way, how funky are those shoes!?

Night at the Museum 2 – On the Set – August 19

Miss Amy was snapped on the set of Night at the Museum 2 again in New York on August 19. I’ve added 20 MQ sized images of this sighting as well as lots more from the previous day’s set.

Again, watch out for possible spoilers if you want to know zero about the film before seeing it!

Night at the Museum 2 – First Look at Amy!

Thanks to On Location Vacations for letting us know about our first look at Amy Adams as Amelia Earhart on the set of Night at the Museum 2: Escape from the Smithsonian in New York City! How cute does Amy look! Beware, some of the images might feature potential spoilers for the film due out next year.

Entertainment Weekly – August 29, 2008

Entertainment Weekly‘s August 29th issue, the fall movie preview (with Harry Potter on the cover) has debuted a new still from Doubt with Amy and Miss Meryl. I think it’s really intriguing and I really love the lighting captured on the ladies faces! In the article it says that advance buzz see’s Viola Davis and Streep geting Oscar nods for the film. I’m confident Amy will also be getting more buzz worthy notice later this year when the film is released on December 12, 2008. But as always, heres to hoping!

Miss Pettigrew Update

Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day will finally open in UK cinemas tomorrow, August 15, 2008. As we’ve previously reported, it will also be available on R1 DVD in North America on August 19, 2008. Screencaptures will be up on the site in the near future.

I recently had the pleasure of seeing the film – it has been playing in Finland for several weeks now – and I really adored it. I would warmly recommend for all of Amy’s fans to check out this fun little film.

Hollywood’s Top-Earning Actresses

According to Forbes, Amy Adams is ninth Hollywood’s top-earning actress with $14.5 million. Cameron Diaz is Hollywood’s top-earning actress, raking in $50 million. Keira Knightley places No. 2 on the list, with annual earnings of $32 million. Former Friend Jennifer Aniston comes in third, collecting $27 million.

Maintaining leading-lady status in Hollywood requires more than starring roles. The resumes of Tinseltown’s A-list actresses feature offerings from movie and television work to endorsement and fashion deals. Along with the host of gigs come blockbuster paychecks. Proof: Hollywood’s 10 top-earning–and ever-active–actresses collectively banked $244.5 million between June 1, 2007 and June 1, 2008.

9. Amy Adams
Estimated Earnings: $14.5 Million

Adams had a musical hit with last year’s Disney-produced Enchanted, which grossed $340 million. Next, the up-and-comer will be starring in two movies with Meryl Streep, Doubt and Julia & Julia.

Tropic Thunder Premiere

Our girl attended the Los Angeles premiere of Tropic Thunder yesterday, perhaps to support co-star Ben Stiller (also in attendance). Amy was looking absolutely gorgeous in a cream number and hair on an updo. The first set of images are available in the gallery. I love the ones of Amy with Matthew McConaughey!

Update: 100+ HQs have been added in the gallery.
